Septuagenarian's legs injured by bus at T. Nagar terminus

This happened inside a bus terminus, where drivers and people manning the terminus are supposed to be regulating and guiding the vehicles.
Even when the pedestrians are walking correctly, sometimes the vehicles drivers, not in their senses or driving rashly, make the lives miserable.
Take for instance, when you are getting down from a bus/ vehicle in a bus stop or by the side of a road, how many times have you seen two wheelers coming to the left of the bus or vehicle to over-take and go.
Can we put a stop to this? How do we educate these people?
